mrylandtanner@gerberlawoffice.com A Lebanon native and Pennsylvania State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy and a minor in Women's Studies, Megan Ryland-Tanner earned her juris doctorate at Widener School of Law in 2001. Prior to entering into the private practice of law, Megan served as the first prosecutorial advocate for Lebanon County funded through the Lebanon County District Attorney's office and administered through the Sexual Abuse and Resource Counseling Center (SARCC). Utilizing her background in women's studies, she assisted law enforcement agencies with investigations of domestic violence and sexual assault and advised them regarding the charges that could be filed. She also worked with crime victims and their families as an advocate during court proceedings. Well known by law enforcement agencies where she was a trainer on issues of sexual assault and domestic violence, she helped to establish Lebanon County's sexual assault police advisory. A partner in Gerber, Tanner & Associates, Megan's primary focus is on criminal law and domestic disputes. She has been approved by the Lebanon County Court of Common Pleas to act as a custody conciliator, and is often appointed to represent juveniles in criminal matters. In addition to the practice of criminal law, she practices in the areas of support, divorce, custody, animal law and labor & employment law. Ryland-Tanner has served her local community as a committee member of the Lebanon County Democratic Committee and as a member of the League of Women Voters. She loves animals and is a member of the Weimaraner Club of America, an animal rescue organization. Megan and her family reside in Lebanon.
